As A Content Creator, What You Sell Comes Second.

(TLDR & free gifts in the bottom, don’t miss it!)

Below is a quote I got from my online mentor Dan Koe when I just started learning the methods of building personal brands, what messages to put out and much more.

The secret weapon of personal brands and content creation is The Experience Model.

That is, being able to talk about your interests, beliefs, thoughts, and opinions in a way that will attract an audience.

The audience will then be comprised of people that are very similar to you.

your brand and content revolve around your experiences:

  • What you are curious about

  • Your vision and goals for the future

  • The lessons you’ve learned on your self-development path

  • Talking about your current thoughts, ideas, theories, and beliefs (they will change!)

In essence, you are documenting certain aspects of your life on the internet in a valuable way. Leaders attract followers. You are a leader of your own life.

With that being said. I would like to introduce you to another content creator just to drive home the “being a content creator means you’re the niche, and what you sell comes second” point.

How many fitness YouTubers are out there?

Millions.

But how many “leanbeefpatty”s are there?

1.

If you’re not familiar with the name leanbeefpatty, she’s just another fitness influencer.

Except she’s special. Because not only is she good at her craft (body building), she is an absolute master at injecting her own unique personality into it.

She currently only sells supplements, but I am 1000% certain that whatever else she sells at this point will all be banger and do well.

T-shirts? Hats? Shoes? Glasses? You name it.

Rhianna was a singer, she is now selling make up and still making millions.

Would anyone have cared about her if she sold make up right off the bat? Who knows.

Kylie Jenner sells make up too. Do you think she’ll ever be limited to just make up? Hell no.

I bet you 17 dollars right now (everything in my bank account at the moment) if she were to post on her Instagram story and say “I’ll hangout with 10 people for a whole day for 10,000 USD each”, the spots would fill up in an instant.

Literally doesn’t matter what she wants to sell anymore.

Her niche is she’s Kylie Jenner. All her products come second.

The Rock Dwayne Johnson, Conner McGregor, both selling alcohol and making serious bank.

(3.5 BILLION for Dwayne Johnson’s tequila brand, and 600 million for Conner McGregor’s whisky)

Examples here are extreme but endless.

You might be thinking, I’m not that special. And you might be right (lol). But believe in yourself anyways. There really is just one of you.

Some people are naturals, but I believe this (a personal brand) is something that can be learn a built.

I’m doing it myself right now, with 0 experience in everything.

But I am more of an expert about me than anyone else the face of this planet. And that’s going to be my niche that no one else can compete in.

Start building your own personal brand today.

Inject your personality into your content, use your content to funnel sales into your products and services.

If buying real-estate was the go to move 50 years ago, this whole “personal brand” thing is the equivalent today.

Just remember, when you make content, don’t be a robot.

Big corporations are robots. People are sick of robots.

Let your personality shine.

TLDR

People will buy things from you just because they like you, doesn’t matter what you sell.

Start building a brand and reputation, it’s the gold mine of this era, just like how buying houses was 50 years ago.

Celebrities can sell anything they want, because they have a massive personal brand.
