(The Trickle Method) Secret To How People Seem To Never Run Out of Highly Engaging Content.
Repurposing content in a way that saves me time and energy while not sacrificing any quality.
(TLDR & free gifts in the bottom, don’t miss it!)
If you haven’t noticed by now, Twitter is literally the best social media platform to practice content creation.
The barrier of entry is as low as it can get. Forget editing videos, forget pictures and filters, forget flashy thumbnails. Just write.
You can post 5 times a day on Twitter and no one will bat an eye, but God forbid if you post 5 times a day on your Instagram feed.
If you have no experience in Twitter or don’t know how to turn your personal account into a “professional” account (no, I’m not talking about buying the blue tick, there’s more to it than that), shoot me a message anywhere and I will get back to you (links in bottom)
The strategy is very very simple. Execution can also be systemized.
As long as you stick to it long enough and be conscious about your efficiency and personal workflow style, a system that works best for you WILL come.
The Trickle Method
Assuming that you already know the basics of writing blogs, what a Twitter thread is, and how to make YouTube videos or podcasts, we can then deploy this system.
And no, you don’t have to have all of those things mentioned above.
I personally only have a blog and Twitter at the moment, but I will expand to other platforms when the time is right.
This is just a quick concept to help you properly repurpose your own content in a way that saves you both time and energy while not sacrificing any quality.
Step 1. The Tweets
Coming back to how Twitter is the best for this purpose, you can literally post 5 to 10 times a day and no one will ever bat an eye (as long as you’re not spamming).
Let your ideas flow, post on your feed, leave comments on other people’s posts etc.
See which ones perform well, and once you identify which topics are more resonated with the audience, it’s time to move to step 2.
Step 2. The Blog
The top of the trickle.
This is where you’ll be putting in the most effort in your actual content creation.
Writing a whole blog is no easy feat. There are lots of nuances to it. It takes relatively longer to produce a quality blog than anything else on the list.
For now we will not discuss the technical parts of writing a blog however, just understand that blogs, especially as the top of the trickle TAKES TIME AND EFFORT.
The last thing you want is to spend 1-3 hours working on a blog and have it flop because the topic you chose and thought was interesting to you isn’t as interesting as others might find.
This is why step 1 (using tweets to test out ideas) is so vital. Make sure what you’re going to put energy in is something people will actually want to read.
The good news is that, once a blog is done, it becomes an intellectual leverage you own, and the trickle method really starts to shine.
Massive amount of content can be repurposed from just one quality blog.
Step 3, The Repurposing
You have a blog now, with a topic that people are interested in, you have several directions now you can go.
Use it as a script for YouTube videos, and use the audio part of the video to post as a podcast. Boom, 2 more pieces of content. (YouTube videos can also be turned into YouTube shorts.)
Condense the blog into a Twitter thread (A thread is a bunch of tweets linked together, making it a longer text post than just traditional single tweet contents)
Once you have a thread and it performs well, time to turn them back into individual tweets again. This time you’d be tweeting almost the same thing as what got your cycle started, but in different words (repurposed)
The beauty of this is not only is 1 piece of blog being turned into a myriad of different content efficiently, taking a lot less time, energy and brain juice.
The mental space freed up allows you to have more than 1 of these trickle cycles to be going on simultaneously.
Just 3 to 4 good tweets is enough to keep you running for a month.
And there you have it. The secret to why do people seem like they never run out of highly engaging content.
