Why Personal Brand is The King of Online Business
the most viable online business model to become successful

I remember when I first started having a dream to make money online.
My home was in USA but I was in Poland studying medicine.
I really didn't want to be studying medicine but that's a whole other can of worms
anyways, all I wanted to do was to find a way to make a good enough income to justify myself from quitting med school
and there it was, my vulnerability for money was born
Everyone and their moms on the internet would tell me to pick just 1 high-value skill, learn it for 3-12 months and you will be pulling in 10k a month
my first thought was, why isn't anyone doing that
countless online courses I've bought and learned from, countless resources and tutorials I have from these high value skills
copywriting
funnel building
high ticket sales
affiliate marketing
web design
logo design
video editing
FBA
dropshipping
and more
you name it, I have it. (Yes I had an obsession, while my peers spend theirs student loans on parties and cars, I spent mine on buying online courses)
but my thought of "why isn't anyone doing the learn 1 skill and make 10k a month" was completely false
in fact, tons and tons of people are doing it
the competition was never higher
and when tons of people are performing the same task, well that task becomes less lucrative to perform. Basic economics
this also spawned a thought in my mind:
did the course sellers actually get rich from doing what they did? or did they get rich from selling courses?
I believe that I don't need to go into details on how hard it is to land enough clients to pay your bills, when you only have 1 "high-value skill"
Especially if you learned it from some random 12-module online guru, your skills isn't going to be as good as whoever has been in the market for 5+ years and learned from a proper mentor
all those chads who really know what they're doing are the ones pulling 10k a month
you're just a small fry scraping the bottom of the barrel, getting the worst, cheap, and picky clients that you hate working with for pocket coins
at this point it would be better to just get hired by a company to perform your "high-value skill" and bring in steady income
there goes your "ditching 9-5 by making money online" dream
you might argue that you are resilient and am ready to be in the game for the long term
and I would reply with excellent! I love it, I admire it and I respect it.
What if I told you, there is another path to win, and doesn't matter what your high-value skill is, there won't be competition?
and all you have to do is to bring that same energy and enthusiasm, and apply it to my method?
The method of personal branding
imagine 100 people are selling homemade cookies
you are one of the 100
and everyday without fail you create quality content around cookies, how to bake them, how to shape them, how to eat them, how to store them
The cookie lovers start to notice you, they follow your content, they share them to other cookie lovers, they love the way to speak, they love the way you look when you bake cookies, they love the way you deliver information
the other 99 sellers, they all bought an online course on how to bake the best cookies in the world.
their cookies are great, might even be better than yours
confident in their new found cookie baking skills, they've decided to launch their stores
99 stores selling the same kinds of cookies
a year pass by, the population LOVE their cookies, but they're not dumb.
They noticed that the cookie they're buying from one store are also sold in other stores, with a cheaper price tag
in order for the 99 stores to compete, they each keep taking turns to lower their prices all the way down to $2.99 per box
next thing you know, all their stores are now on the verge of bankruptcy, with razor thin margins on their cookies, and must back and sell an ungodly amount of cookies everyday just to keep the business afloat
During the 99 store shenanigans, you've kept your head down, putting all your efforts into honing your cookie baking skills by sharing and exploring your ideas everyday for the past year
you've curated a massive amount of followers who can't wait to get a taste of your cookies
screw the cookies, your fans love you so much you could sell anything to them.
(remember when Belle Delphine sold her bath water? I'm sorry to have to remind you of that but it proves me point)
the 99 stores each have thousands of customers everyday, gathered with the method of paying for advertisements
you have a following of a few thousand as well, but you do not need to spend a dime on advertising.
In fact, it wouldn't be surprising if the 99 stores start sending you offers to advertise their stores
You start selling your cookies to your fan base, and you charge a premium price.
50 dollars per box.
you include the same amount of cookies as the other 99 stores, plus a card with your personal message in the box and a signed polaroid picture of your customer's favorite type of cookie
in the box are also samples of vanilla extracts that you developed and used for your cookies
and a small flyer of your favorite brand of oven mitts, which you are in affiliate with because the oven mitts company is also a fan of your high quality content
can you begin to see how powerful having a personal brand is? Even when we all have the same high value skill?
not only can you sell less cookies for a higher price, you're not confined to only sell cookies. Anything else you choose to sell would perform just as well.
You could also start selling digital products, i.e. your recipes, tutorials and any other valuable info products you can think of
It is not easy to build a personal brand, but it is worth it and it is possible
The idea of being popular on the internet might seem daunting and impossible
"I'm really not that special afterall"
That statement couldn't be further away from the truth
maybe you really aren't that special, but being special isn't the limiting factor of if you can build a personal brand or not
the real limiting factor, and the first step you will need to take is this:
Shift your mind from being a consumer to a creator
A personal brand definitely takes time to build, and unlike being a freelancer, there is a multitude of skills you'd have to also acquire
but that's exactly how you win and beat being a freelancer.
Best part? You can talk about ANY of these skills you're learning for content, as long as you are two steps ahead of your followers, they will always gain value from you, which makes you a good leader
some examples are:
networking
taking good pictures of yourself and products
web design
writing sales copies
growing your social media account
how to turn fans into customers
how to make offers
how to manage yourself and structure your days because you're now your own boss
You might ask:
what if there are other personal brands wouldn't they be competitions
maybe, but do you only listen to one artist on spotify
do you only follow one account on instagram
do you only subscribe to one channel on youtube
do you only ever play 1 game on your ps5?
And if you can't help but think that being a "creator" you must become some kind of weird online entertainer or dance on TikTok.
The real answer is you don't. And I strongly advice against going that route if you have any respect for yourself

Unless we were born famous like Jaden Smith, and propelled to the top 1% by the influence of his daddy, us peasants all have to start from the bottom
1) Start building on Twitter
twitter is by far the easiest platform to grow on, compared to all the other social media platforms
I will go into more detail in my other published online resources on how to build your account, but I will leave an outline of what you know learn how to do below:

2) Learn how to grow your Twitter account to start building social leverage
once you start gaining traction on twitter and made some connections with other creators, its all smooth sailing from there
money isn't your only currency at that point. Leverage your followings on twitter to collab with other creators that are on other platforms
with a higher follower count, big accounts are more warm towards your DM's as well and it opens up all the opportunities
would you trust a DM from a copywriter with 20k followers more, and believe in his or her skill which then give them a job,
or some random kid with 150 followers asking for the same thing?
3) Start producing content you want to be known for
you can pivot and change since you're a personal brand and not locked in a box aka if you want to do copywriting but you started to find fitness very interesting
not a problem at all to switch around
4) Take your time and be consistent
The biggest reasons why people quit twitter is that you could be doing everything right but still grow slower than a potato
the beginning is the hardest, you have to be willing to tough it out and understand that when your account is small it's naturally harder to progress because you simply do not have eyeballs on you

Conclusion
remember, from now on you are not a "copywriter", or a "ghostwriter", or anything of that.
you are now a personal brand, that happens to be talking about copywriting and providing copywriting services at the moment
Joe Rogan started from fighting in UFC to now the most successful podcaster on the planet.
You change and you evolve. Personal brand is perfect for that.
if you built your whole online presence around copywriting, and you suddenly wanted to be a sailor, that would be completely viable since your fans are following you for you, and not because you're a copywriter
start building your audience with the right mindset, learn what to do, be consistent and it'll be a matter of time until you get to where you want to be.
