Does The Current You Deserve What You Want In Life?

There's a better version of you living the life you want right now.

(TLDR & free gifts in the bottom, don’t miss it!)

I learned an interesting concept the other day while watching a movie about parallel universes.

The theory in the movie is that every time you make a choice, a different branch of timeline is created and exist simultaneously with the one you’re in.

For example, if you were to be presented with a choice to either play video games or go to sleep at 11 pm, 2 timelines are now created.

There will be a version of you that chose to sleep, and there will be a version of you that chose to play video games.

(Fun fact: Research has shown that we make about 30,000 decisions a day)

Towards the end of the movie, the main character not only found out about the concept, but also found a way to travel between the parallel worlds.

She was able to see how insanely crappy her life is in different versions of her life where her and the people around her made terrible choices.

But she was also able to see how incredibly wonderful her life was when she made all the right choices.

Because there were so many different parallel world, she just kept abusing the method of traveling to different worlds until she finds the best one she could.

She then attempts to kill the version of her in the world she invaded and replaced herself in attempt to live the good life.

But of course her operation failed. How could she have succeeded?

The version of her in the world she invaded in was so much smarter, stronger, because she made all the right choices in life.

She worked out, she read, she kept a good sleep schedule, and pretty much everything else under the sun that allows her to level up.

And not just her too, even the people around her are all sharp as hell.

Even if the crappy version of her did manage to kill and replace the premium version of her somehow, her fantastic life will never have lasted.

  1. She’ll continue to make the wrong choices and inevitably lead that world back to doom.

  2. She’s not built enough to even maintain the level of that premium lifestyle.

We only saw how terribly wrong it would go if a “bad” version of her gets placed in a “good” reality.

However, the reverse could be just as cool.

Imagine how well the “good” version of her could lift the “bad” world?

This movie gave me 2 lessons that I want to share with us today.

Firstly, every time you are choosing the “wrong” choice, there’s a better version of you out there living the life you want.

This bothers me a lot more than I thought it would.

I should root for myself all the time but I still can’t help but get jealous to know for a fact that there’s a better version of Kevin out there living his life and I’m not him.

And second but more importantly:

Even if you were given a second chance, if you’re not the version that’s ready to take on that chance, you’ll just crash and burn.

You need to be the version of yourself that fits the reality you want to be in.

For example, the current you is not a millionaire. Of course you’re not. You don’t deserve it now.

But what you can do is work on what will turn yourself in that version who deserves to be a millionaire.

Of course you don’t have the body you want.

The version of you right now that says yes to junk food and no to exercising does not deserve the good body.

But you can still work towards becoming the version of you that deserves the good body you want.

The current you does not deserve anything.

But the good news is you don’t need to learn how to travel between parallel worlds.

It’s futile. All the versions of the world are all you, they’re all the same.

The only difference is that they made a different choice than you.

And that’s exactly what you have to start doing.

Become the version of you that deserves the reality you want.
